ANYiSO Annual Conference – the impact of COVID-19 on women     30th October, 2021

The impact of Covid-19 on women

The conference will focus on the impact of Covid19 on women and how we can access support and tackle abuse.

The rate of domestic abuse has gone so high during this pandemic period and much so with ethnic minorities, although most of them are unreported by the survivors. This Conference is really important as we work with black and ethnic minorities that have in one way or the other experienced abuse. The event will be attended by minority ethnic women, people from the community including men and it is open to the general public.

We hope that the Conference will raise awareness on abuse and issues and encourage survivors to seek support. Also the presence of different organisation at the conference will help us to explore these issues further and facilitate more connections and support to vulnerable women that may not always come forward to access available support.

The Conference is open for both men and women, and the idea for men to be involved is vital for them to know more about the impact of abuse on women and also help in the fight against violence against women.

Please ensure you come with a face mask and maintain any Covid -19 Scotland restrictions.

Entertainments, foods and drinks would be provided.
