Changeworks, renowned for their work in decarbonizing homes across Scotland, will be delivering an informative presentation on how to reduce energy usage and bills. The session will also cover how to manage energy matters more effectively, ensuring that households can make the most of their resources without breaking the bank.
Whether you're interested in practical tips for energy-saving or need support in managing your home’s energy efficiency, this event is for you. Plus, the session will include time for questions so you can get tailored advice for your specific needs.
There will be items for free, like toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, razors, etc. And warm packs available upon request at the event, which include lightbulbs, draught-proofing strips, and other items to make your home warm.
Supporting the Community
At Anyiso, we believe in creating opportunities that empower our community, especially ethnic minorities, to access vital resources. This energy advice session will provide attendees with practical information and tools to help them stay affordably warmer at home—essential knowledge in Scotland’s climate.
In recognition of the diverse linguistic backgrounds in our community, the presentation will be conducted in English with Arabic translation. Printed resources will also be available in other languages.
Become a Volunteer: Training in Energy Advice and Support
Changeworks will also be recruiting volunteers at the event to receive training in energy advice and support. As part of the Low Carbon Community Team, these volunteers will play an essential role in helping deliver outreach events and support ethnic minoritized community groups. If you’re passionate about supporting others in your community and want to gain valuable knowledge and experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved.
This is a unique opportunity to gain crucial knowledge, access support, and join a network of passionate individuals dedicated to making a real difference in our community. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about energy efficiency or looking to make positive changes in their home to attend.
